LE 17 bln to provide citizen’s need of electricity in summer

The 16 General Associations of electricity production, transmission and distribution companies are going to approve on March 27 their budgets for the next fiscal year 2014 according to the new developments in the sector, which are represented in the increasing demand for electricity and allowing private sector for the first time to participate in electricity production projects, thus it will ease up the burdens off the State-owned companies.

The electricity associations took this action to prepare their budgets to be submitted to the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) before holding the General Assembly of Electricity Holding Company in Egypt to approve their budgets, which may reach more than EGP 17 billion.
