After arriving at the Chadian capital, Ndjamena, to lead Egypt’s delegation to the meetings of the summit conference of the Community of Sahel-Saharan States (CEN-SAD) that is scheduled to be held today, Prime Minister Dr. Hisham Qandeel said that Egypt is paying due attention for the development of relations with African countries.
Qandeel held a meeting in Ndjamena with the Libyan Prime Minister Ali Zedan before the summit.
Cabinet Spokesman Dr. Alaa El-Hadidi said that the two premiers have agreed on holding meetings of the Egyptian-Libyan higher joint committee in April under co-chairmanship of the two premiers. He added that the meeting discussed positions of the Egyptian workers in Libya and participation of Egyptian companies in Libya reconstruction.
Hadidi said that Qandeel’s participation in this African summit on behalf of President Mohamed Morsy comes within the framework of Egypt’s practicing of its role on the African level.
